Your Thailand Travel Guide ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ˜

We have made it to the third and  final stop of SE Asia Travel Journal. 3 weeks in each of these beautiful countries and our final stop has come around. I hope you have enjoyed Bali and Vietnam and are excited for me to sell you the Thai dream. Nearly a year and a half later and I still dream about the Thai green curry and pad Thai we had on our travels. Thailand was different in many ways to each of the countries and I enjoyed it just as much. We visited here between 23rd November and 14th December, the only thing that let us down was the weather especially when visiting the islands (but this to be expected in SE Asia).  Chiang Mai Elephant Home Stop 1 - Chiang Mai๐Ÿ˜ Home to the most precious animal in the world, elephants… This is by far one of the best experiences in my whole life. You even have the option to stay at an elephant sanctuary and be woke up at your room by them… (not within our budget) but we loved evert minute from making their food, giving them a mud bath, b...

Good Morning Vietnam!๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ณ

Today we have woke up in Vietnam, exploring the beautiful landscapes, culture and history. Travel with me from south Vietnam to the North. We travelled around Vietnam for a total of 3 weeks, and I am hoping to inspire you to travel and experience the beautiful country of Vietnam!

Let’s travel from the South of Vietnam from the capital Ho Chi Minh City, through to the middle, Hoi An (my personal favourite) to the very North of the country, Hanoi. Not only are the landscapes in Vietnam something to write home about but the history and culture I learned along the way was very special. This was by far the cheapest of the three countries travelled…

๐Ÿ™Ho Chi Minh City

The must do’s when in this city are the; The Chu Chi tunnels, War Renanets Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon. This modern city offers a great nightlife, bustling markets and of course what all girls want… a shopping trip (this is the point of the trip where the backpack did not close after exploring the shopping centre). For all the backpack travellers, we stayed in an amazing Hostel in the heart of the city called Meander Saigon Hostel which had a slide directly to reception. The food opportunities here are amazing for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rooftop options are also available and are lovely for a little night cap before bed while taking in the views around. Watch out for the endless number of mopeds that are a life and death hazard to all!!!!

๐ŸฎHoi An

WOW. I have no words for this little piece of heaven which we got to call home for 4 nights. Nestled along Vietnams central coast this town is vibrant with history and charm. The streets are adorned with lanterns and bustling markets which created the perfect atmosphere for all travellers whether you are a couple, with friends or family. Home to the tastiest breakfasts and fun Ariel yoga class. The must do’s when here are; Hoai River Boat Tour (at night), the 3 in 1 market tour to pick all your cooking essentials, followed by a cooking class and to top it off the TikTok famous basket boat ride. We stayed at the Mad Monkey Hostel and couldn’t recommend it more; they organise all your trips and have really good prices!

๐ŸšƒHanoi

Whether you are sipping traditional Vietnamese coffee at a sidewalk cafรฉ of trying the famous Vietnamese bรกnh mi or love the natural city buzz this is the place for you!! There is lots to explore depending on your personal interests, whether that is culture and history or delving into the local cuisine and beautiful sites in Hanoi Old Quarter or having a Vietnamese coffee in Hanoi Train Street. A must for me was the Note Cafรฉ (you place your own sticky note on the wall with a message). Make sure to book a book trip to Ha Long Bay as we missed out on this opportunity due to time.
