Your Thailand Travel Guide 🇹🇭🐘

We have made it to the third and  final stop of SE Asia Travel Journal. 3 weeks in each of these beautiful countries and our final stop has come around. I hope you have enjoyed Bali and Vietnam and are excited for me to sell you the Thai dream. Nearly a year and a half later and I still dream about the Thai green curry and pad Thai we had on our travels. Thailand was different in many ways to each of the countries and I enjoyed it just as much. We visited here between 23rd November and 14th December, the only thing that let us down was the weather especially when visiting the islands (but this to be expected in SE Asia).  Chiang Mai Elephant Home Stop 1 - Chiang Mai🐘 Home to the most precious animal in the world, elephants… This is by far one of the best experiences in my whole life. You even have the option to stay at an elephant sanctuary and be woke up at your room by them… (not within our budget) but we loved evert minute from making their food, giving them a mud bath, b...

Is the Ha Giang Loop worth it?

As part of my last post, I promised you all I would leave the best to last. Pick between a 3- or 4-day trip through the mountains. If like me and the thought of exploring the mountains in Vietnam while driving a motorbike is the scariest thing imaginable then do not worry as there is an alternative…. You get your very own driver for the whole trip. If you want to drive yourself and feel like you could then the world is your oyster.

The easiest way to access the Loop is to start your journey in Hanoi. We explored the city and made a last-minute decision to book the bus for that evening to make our way up to Hai Giang. Let’s be honest there is nothing glamourous about the journey up, it is 6 hours and the bus can be very cramped, is it worth it? ✨YES. The total price for 3 days (3 nights, travel, and food/drink) was between £150-200. After the lovely journey further north, we arrived to stay for a few hours due to travelling through the night to a hostel provided to be up early to begin our journey through the mountains. They provide all helmets and if you are driving yourself knee and arm pads too and of course you are fully briefed before departure on the venture.

This part of Vietnam is a must to do, not only do you make the best memories but you meet so many lovely people along the way. Although you are at the complete opposite side of the globe you never fail to meet people who are close to home. The best 3 days and let's just say this was the HIGHLIGHT of Vietnam.

Journey of fairytales

I hope you enjoyed, next up is Thailand so stay tuned!!!!
